Custom Data Export & Management Web Application

Overview

USGolfData provides golf course data to businesses that market to golf courses nationwide. The original system relied on a desktop database to manage more than 15,000 golf courses and a manual process to prepare customer exports. I developed a custom web application that includes a robust back-end data management system, automatically transforms and optimizes data for fast front-end searches and exports, and integrates seamlessly with WooCommerce for checkout, payment processing, and order management.

The customer-facing application allows users to purchase either a fully customized data export priced per course, or a fixed price export. Monthly updates can be purchased at checkout and are automatically handled by the system. Records are synchronized automatically throughout the day, ensuring customers always receive current information while eliminating the need for manual fulfillment.

Result

The completed application transformed a manual desktop workflow into an automated online service capable of generating customer-specific exports in real time while creating an improved data management experience on the back-end.

Improvements include:
